Here’s the dirt on the Dodger Stadium motocross & monster truck show

Earth movers  have taken over the  Dodger Stadium playing field this week  in preparation for a motocross event this weekend followed by a monster truck show and race next month.  Christine Peters of Elysian Heights snapped the photo during a visit to the stadium earlier today as tons of dirt were being spread across the field and shaped into mounds and ramps. How much dirt? 550 truck loads.

  1. It hurts to see beautiful dodger stadium as a dog and pony show for frank McCourt to try to make payroll even fox new better than to have monster trucks trample through that beautiful field I just hate that vin scully is still alive to see this

  2. OH MY GOSH WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO BLUE HEAVEN ON EARTH WHAT A SHAME TOMMY LASORDA AND VIN SCULLY HAVE TO SEE THIS MY GOODNESS PEOPLE IN THE VIN SCULLY PRESS BOX EATING DODGER DOGS AT THIS EVENT SHAME ON DODGER OWNERSHIP

  3. Awesome! This is going to be all fun!! And rest assured – Dodger Stadium will be back in pristine condition for the baseball season.

  4. Its about time a I can take my family to monster jam and motorcross in my hometown of LA without having to drive to Anahiem. Its 2011 and ownership should have allowed this years ago, and to the people that are speaking for Vin and Tommy about the field, dont. Im sure they are glad to see events like this here.

  5. They might as well have something exciting there! The Dodgers are going to suck this year, all they did is go out and get has been’s.
