The Atwater Village Theater will tonight (Jan. 28) host the premiere of “Mlle. God,” an “outrageous and muscular dark comedy” by Oscar-nominated writer Nicholas Kazan. On Saturday, French composer and musician Yann Tiersen performs at Cal State L.A. and author Steven Blush will appear at The Process of Weeding Out: American Hardcore & The Rise of Stone Rock, a panel discussion in Silver Lake. Also this weekend, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art will also be holding teen art workshops in Highland Park, volunteers will be sprucing up the Elysian Heights school garden and Heritage Square Museum on Saturday.
