Eastsider on the Go

Looks like it will be a rainy and blustery weekend. But there are plenty of indoor options, including tonight’s theater opening for “Violators Will be Violated” in Atwater Village; a Saturday night performance by one of Israel’s most prominent dance groups, Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, at the Luckman Center at Cal State L.A. and a screening of the experimental films of Fred Worder on Sunday at the Echo Park Film Center.

Also this  weekend, the Hillside Produce Cooperative will hold a fruit, vegetable and flower exchange, writers for Slake magazine will hold a reading in Echo Park; and the Atwater Village Library will hold a used book sale. Not afraid of cool and wet weather? Then join the Great Backyard Bird Count on Sunday morning at Echo Park Lake. More to do in the Save the Date calendar.
