Save the Date: Weekend Edition

"Pink Buddha in the Garden 3" by Terri Lloyd/1650 Gallery

Echo Park’s fairly newish 1650 Gallery will be holding an opening reception Saturday night for “That’s Weird,” a photo exhibited judged by Billy the Mime. Works include “Pink Buddha in the Garden 3” (shown above) by artist and friend of The Eastsider Terri Lloyd. Tonight, Echo Park actor Roger Guenveur Smith will perform his one-man show, “The Watts Towers Project,” at Occidental College.  This weekend’s events also include a clean up and planting at the Arroyo Seco Library in Highland Park, the grand opening of the Lincoln Heights Junior Arts Center and a Sunday afternoon drawing workshop in Echo Park. More to do in Save the Date.
