“This Old House” makes a final visit to Silver Lake

Carpenter Norm Abram (shown above) as well as the host of “This Old House,” Kevin O’Connor,  paid a final visit to Silver Lake today as the PBS show taped the last scenes of the remodeling and expansion of a 1933 Spanish Colonial Revival-style home.  The project – which involved adding a second floor and 750-square-feet – was the 30-year-old program’s first show to be shot in Los Angeles and to involve a Spanish Colonial Revival-style home.
