    Thank you for posting the link re the LGBT Citizens Police Academy. If anyone is interested, feel free to inquire with the names listed on the link, or give me a call. The citizens’ academies, geared to different segments of the community but not by any means restricted to members of those communities, gives the good people of the city the chance to learn the philosophies by which the Department operates, including use of force policies and initiation, community policing, discipline and hiring standards. And, you have the chance to question those aspects or have them elaborated upon, should you choose to do so. These academies are held periodically, often in different languages.
