Police apprehend man with a knife outside Silver Lake bank

The man – described as a transient – was holding a knife outside the Citibank branch on Glendale Boulevard this morning when he was hit with a bean bag fired from an officer’s gun after he made “threatening moves,” said Sgt. Sanford Rosenberg with the Northeast Division. The man was transported to a hospital but Rosenberg did not have details about his injuries. Glendale Boulevard was briefly shut down during the incident and investigation.
