Lost: A Silver Lake dog named Bernice

Jen Byrne from Silver Lake spent four hours on Monday helping in the search for Bernice. Here are the details from Byrne:

Sweet Bernice was just rescued this week from a neglectful situation.  After spending a day at the big Best Friends Adoption Event this weekend, she went into a great foster home with a lovely lady who is considering adopting her.  She managed to climb a high fence, chew through lattice and escape today!  She is VERY shy and timid with new people and definitely not street smart.  We are frantically searching for her – she is living between Echo Park and Silverlake – off Allessandro at Loma Vista and she was spotted near the 2 freeway at the entrance on Glendale Blvd. around 4 pm today.   Of if you happen to be at North Central or perhaps Pasadena Humane Society in the next couple of days, please keep your eyes open for this sweet terrier / border collie mix.  She’s only 8 months old and is wearing a bright yellow collar with pictures of snoopy on it.

  1. UPDATE – she’s still missing. Though we got a sighting of her on the 2 freeway walking towards Alvarado….around 5:20pm on Monday May 23rd – 2 calls were placed to CHP and they searched for her, to no avail.
We spent this afternoon searching the sides of the 2 South where it ends into Alvarado/Glendal Blvd this afternoon, to no avail.
