Watch out below

It was a good today to watch  out for falling tree branches and flying palm fronds as high winds streaked across Los Angeles.  Malcolm Schenot of Echo Park snapped the above photo this afternoon at Echo Park Lake, where a large branch was ripped off a tree on the north end of the park. Winds gusted up to 60 miles per hour today but Memorial Day is expected to be relatively calm, making it a good day to clean up all the debris.
