Save the Date: Weekend Edition

The Reach of Resonance“, an award-winning documentary on experimental musicians by Echo Park filmmaker Steve Elkins, is currently being screened on an international tour. But Elkins wanted to also show the film in his own neighborhood. The Echo Park Film Center and Origami Vinyl have teamed up to make that happen, with the film center screening the “The Reach of Resonance” on Sunday night after Origami hosts a reception and art exhibition featuring work inspired by the film, its themes and music. Other events this weekend include a cat and pet adopt-a-thon at the Lacy Street animal shelter in Lincoln Heights, a Summer Solstice music festival also in Lincoln Heights, a classic car show in Highland Park, a woman’s fitness hike in Debs Park, and a bird count at Echo Park Lake. More to do in Save the Date.
