Victorian charm – and 5-1/2 bathrooms – draws attention to this million dollar Angeleno Heights home

Many first-time visitors to Angeleno Heights head directly to the 1300 block of Carroll Avenue, where a row of ornate Victorian-era homes painted in bright hues have attracted swarms of architecture and history buffs, film crews and recognition as a national historic monument.  But there are other grand, Victorian homes to be found across Angeleno Heights, including a giant, 4,080-square home at the corner of Kellam Avenue and West Edgeware Road that recently went up for sale at $1.1 million.  This 123-year-old example of Victorian grandeur is wrapped in frilly wood trim and multicolored shingles and has enough room inside for six bedrooms, according to the listing. There are also some modern touches that the Victorians would have probably welcomed, including air conditioning and 5-1/2 bathrooms.   Apparently being located off better known Carroll Avenue has not hurt the sales prospects for this Victorian home because there is a sale pending after only about two weeks on the market.

  1. No surprise.
Even in this market that is well under priced.
