Eastside Mix: Luke Rathborne presents the softer side of rock & roll

By Alfred Montez

Tonight, July 7, The Rumble Los Angeles presents Luke Rathborne, a singer songwriter on the softer side of rock and roll, at The Echo, in Echo Park.  Rathborne plays in a lighter style, more concerned with the overall feel of a tune than a flashy riff or theme, the music is understated, and the lyrics are the focus of the work. Rathborne is on a West Coast tour, still supporting his debut Double EP Dog Years / I Can Be One as he has been since its release in March of this year. Also performing are Manhattan Murder Mystery, a local band that plays in a more straight ahead rock and roll style.   The show is free ( RSVP here) and 21 and over only. Starts at 7:30 p.m.
