Lost: Silver Lake dog on the Fourth of July

A woman in Silver Lake spotted a dog with a collar wandering across Hyperion Street on the Fourth of July. She could not catch the dog wanted to pass along information that might help its owner recover the animal:

We saw a small black (or very dark brown?) dog with a collar on, in Silverlake today (4th of July) at about 7:45 p.m. The dog ran west across Hyperion Avenue at Evans (right near Bogie’s Liquor).    S/he then ran south on Hyperion, past Tracey St., and took a right onto Entrance Drive.  S/he was last seen running west on Entrance Drive.

We searched all of Entrance Drive, the southern portion of Tracey Terrace to the dead end, Claremont Avenue from almost Tracey Street to the intersection with Lyric Avenue (and a bit beyond), but could not find the dog.
