Happy Fourth of July!

American flags. Classic cars. Kids. You can’t be more patriotic than that. All were in abundance during Sunday’s Fourth of July celebration at Eagle Rock Park.  “A major turnout of locals enjoyed live bands playing old time rock and roll, face painting, bouncers, old cars, food and community booth information,” said Martha Benedict, who snapped photos of the Eagle Rock event, which included an evening fireworks show. Tonight’s fireworks action shifts to Dodger Stadium, where the Dodgers-Mets’ game will end in what the team claims is the “best fireworks show in the city.” If you can’t attend or see the Dodger fireworks display, there will probably be a neighbor nearby hosting their own show.
