It’s back to the drawing board – and dictionary – for this painter

Art student Tricia Singletary (pictured above) spent Sunday painting the scene outside of Echo Park’s well-known liquor store, The House of Spirts. Spirts? Wait. That’s supposed to be The House of Spirits” with two “i”s.  Darrell Kunitomi, who took the photo, apparently wasn’t the first to notice Singletary’s artistic typo. “Another passerby pointed it out to her, oh well,” he said in an email.  Meanwhile, fellow Barnsdall art student Daisy Tan had yet to finish the sign above Los Burritos.  (that’s with two “r”s).
