Save the Date: Weekend Edition

The Raiford Rogers Modern Ballet returns to the Luckman Center at Cal State L.A. on Saturday with a world premier of “Four Pieces for Piano,” a contemporary performance set to the classic music of  Bach, Haydn and Liszt. This weekend’s events also include tonight’s free outdoor screening of “Back to the Future” at Atwater Movie Night and the opening of the Knightsbridge Theatre’s  “Bikini Beach Bacchae,” a take off on an ancient Greek play featuring Beverly Hills housewives at a 1965 beach party.  Heritage Square will kick off its outdoor Silent & Classic Movie nights on Saturday and The Ukulele Orchestra of the Western Hemisphere will mash up songs from Radio Head to Hank Williams. Save time for an introductory tailoring class in Echo Park and a pool party and benefit for Highland Park’s La Casita Verde child care center.
