  • Avoid Beverly Bl. & Vermont Ave: Streets clogged up as bomb squad checks out a suspicious object: a briefcase abandoned in the street.  “The bomb squad is responding to examine the item,” said Lt. Wes Buhrmester with the Rampar Division.  The suspicious brief case was reported at 2:55 p.m. in  the 300 block of N. Juanita Street.

  1. At 4:45 pm, the bomb squad completed their examination of the briefcase and found it to not be hazardous. Traffic is again open.

  2. I was cought up in the traffic jam. The officers were very courtiuos and professional thanks again to the officers for solving the problem and keeping us safe…
