House Hunt: A Silver Lake home with more arches than a McDonald’s

Photos from theMLS.com/Redfin.com

Who says doorways and windows have to be square?  A curved or pointed arch can make for an imposing doorway or a welcoming window in an otherwise boxy house. In the case of this newly listed Silver Lake home at 1851 Lucile Avenue, the pointy and curved archways don’t stop at the front door.  There’s a large arched window over a yard and archways lead to the kitchen and even a tiled shower. Of course, some of the arches frame views of a nearly 90-year-old house that will need a lot of work. The three-bedroom home is listed at $489,000, with only cash offers being considered, according to Redfin.
