One injured in Boyle Heights Gold Line accident*


One person suffered minor injuries after a Gold Line train collided with a vehicle late this afternoon in Boyle Heights, reports the Los Angeles Fire Department.  The accident took place at about 5 p.m. at First Street and Mission Road. Rail line service had been shut down between the Little Tokyo and the Pico Aliso stations, according to the Metro. Passengers were advised to ride the Line 30 bus instead.

*Update @ 7:47 pm: Gold Line service has returned to normal.
