One person shot in Eagle Rock

Police said one victim was shot this afternoon in Eagle Rock near Colorado Boulevard and Figueroa Street.  Lt. Rick Stabile with the Northeast Division did not have details of the victim’s injuries as officers investigate the shooting. Police have sealed off the area as they search for a suspect described as a male Latino wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans, said LAPD spokeswoman Sarah Faden. The suspect was seen heading west on Colorado Boulevard.  Faden emphasized that the information is based on preliminary information and could change.

The victim in the shooting, which was first reported at about 12:4 p.m., is described as a male in his 40s. He was conscious and breathing when officers arrived, Faden said.
