Save the Date: Weekend Edition

On Sunday, one of Highland Park’s most notable landmarks from the Arts and Crafts era – The Abbey San Encino – will open its doors to the public for tours and a fundraiser for preservation advocacy organized by the Highland Park Heritage Trust.  The compound located near Figueroa Street and York Boulevard was built from stones hauled from the Arroyo Seco and served as the home for printer and writer Clyde Browne, who began building the house in 1915.

Other events this weekend include the Elysian Valley Block Party, a Cypress Park library clean up, a Conjunto Jardin concert and an Echo Park class in mind reading. More to do in Save the Date.
