Echo Park shops and artists team up for Art Walk & Shop Hop

Band plays during the May Echo Park Art Walk

By Becky Koppenhaver

Soon you will be able to walk, shop, and hop for deals as well as culture all on the same day in Echo Park. Two separate community events that promote and support local artists and   businesses will  merge into the upcoming  Echo Park Art Walk & Shop Hop on Saturday, September 24.

Neil Scheild, owner of Origimi Vinyl in Echo Park, explains what to expect:

Across the neighborhood, community galleries, non-profit organizations, retailers, and eateries will be hosting a series of art- and music-related events throughout Saturday, September 24. Keep it local as you spend all of a day or part of a day in Echo Park and see the awesome featured goods and services this neighborhood has to offer. By taking advantage of special discounts offered by Origami, Stories LA, the Echo Park Time Travel Mart, E.P.I.C., and others, you’ll support the thriving economy of a uniquely-creative Los Angeles community.

You can check out the list of participants, and the  deals that will be offered at EchoParkArtWalk.com
