Red skies and rainbows at sunset

Tonight’s sunset was accompanied by rainbows, pink clouds, a crimson sky and even lightning as subtropical moisture moved through the region. It was a colorful and unexpected show that was captured from different angles and neighborhoods, including shots from Silver Lake (above) taken by Kristin Erickson and her husband, Steve Gioia. “Here are some shots my honey & I took from our apartment balcony,” said Erickson, who shot the top left photo, in an email. “Very dramatic skies.”   Click  on the link below for more photos from Eagle Rock and Elysian Park.

Ya, it was pretty odd weather. The roar of Thunder caught me off guard as well as the lightning crack across the dark clouds rolling in when I went to peek out the window.

  2. I personally HATE the warm/dry mixed with cloudy weather, but these shots are pretty!

  3. Why would you “HATE” it?

  4. Because haters gotta hate
