Dog scares off Echo Park burglars

NeighborhoodWatchLogo.JPGAn Echo Park resident living on  Belmont Avenue near Clinton Street wants to alert neighbors to an attempted burglary at her home early this morning:

I just filed a police report with the Rampart division on the attempted break into my home at 4:00 am. Someone attempted to enter through the front door of my home.  My dog who was with me actually scared them off and they ran down the porch and slammed the front gate.

Please let folks know that there is someone in the neighborhood attempting break ins.

  3. When I lived in NYC, I had a friend who knew a police officer who swore that, in all his years on the force, he’d never heard of a break-in of an apartment with a dog. 🙂 Dogs are not just man’s best friend but also our best protection.
