Heavy drinking lands more Occidental College students in hospital

Eight Occidental College students who were attending an outdoor dance party on the Eagle Rock campus were rushed to the hospital early this morning “for being dangerously intoxicated,” according to ABC7. It was the second time this month that a group of students on campus have required medical attention after drinking too much. In today’s case, the students were believed to have already been drunk when they arrived at Splatter, an annual dance party where alcohol is not allowed or served, college officials told ABC7. Eagle Rock Patch reported that nine Los Angeles Fire Department ambulances were dispatched to the campus.

Earlier this month, four students who attended Toga, a popular annual sorority party, ended up in hospital emergency rooms as a result of “alcohol poisoning” and other issues connected to heavy drinking.

  1. Way to make their parents proud.

  2. Just a well-deserved respite after those rigorous political demonstrations. The Princeton of the West indeed.

  3. Ha Ha…I’ve heard nobody really parties at oxy…I guess this is what happens when they do!

  4. LIGHT WEIGHTS!

  5. This will happen more if fix gets a beer permit

  6. This might sound weird but if they would sell alcohol AT these events, then maybe the kids won’t try to slam as much booze as they can down their throats before they get there.
