  1. Sale of the Dodgers now brings to fruition the worst-case scenario for Echo Park and Solano Canyon of the McCourt soap opera.

    The sale price is expected to be double to triple the horrendously high price the McCourts paid. And that means a new buyer will be planning, and even forced, to capitalize EVERYTHING there — which means big development of all that now-empty land. The kind of money at play means that nothing is going to stop that development, no matter how loud the neighbors’ outcry.
