Found: Friendly cat in Silver Lake

Submitted by E. Beteille

This friendly cat showed up in our [Silver Lake] driveway this morning. He’s obviously cared for, but by whom? No collar. Will trade information about location found for information about location lost, plus other details only the owner would know. Legit claims please email [email protected].

  1. The mistake people make when they meet a friendly cat is that they need to take him in their home. If he looks cared for, then he has a home and knows how to get back. Let him go. Cats roam… especially boys. That’s just what they do. They always go home when its time to eat. His poor parents are probably worried sick.
Regarding the collar… my kitties lost theirs plenty climbing trees, etc… sometimes it takes a few days to get a new one.

  2. We have one of those on Laguna Ave. I call him Frankie Goes to Hollywood. I figured he would eventually move on, but he has found a nice home next door, and still lives outside, and stops by my back door everyday to say hi.

  3. if you found him in teh Sunset Junction neighborhood his name is Chickie-Boy. He will be nice one second and go nuts the nexted. Will live indors for some time and then needs his freedum. Hates other cats, loves dogs

  4. Is he fixed? If not, contact fixnation.org regarding TNR. I’ve done that to the cats in my neighborhood and have been able to stop the population explosion. Shelters kill.

  5. It’s also a good idea to have him checked for a microchip. Any vet or shelter has a scanner…..it’s free.
