Signs of the season

The holidays are not officially over in Echo Park until someone torches a Christmas tree left outside for sanitation workers to pick up. Merrick Morton spotted this blackened trunk on Echo Park Avenue near Baxter Street over the weekend.  At least the tree was disposed of in the green bin.

  1. maybe i’m getting old, but my first thought when I see this is “what the hell is the matter with people?”

  2. Too many Sugar Plum Faries, not enough Beds at The Dream Center ~

  3. Yes but disposed of incorectly. What’s up with people stuffing whole trees in the trash? Ah you have to cut it up, too much work I quess. I am glad that the fire didn’t spread, it’s so dry!

    • I agree with alijill, it took me only like 15min to cut off the branches and saw the trunk in two and toss it all in the green bin. But I guess it takes a certain kinda class of people to figure that out, and not want there neighborhood to look like others that just have all kinds of trees on the street.

IDIOTS if you ask me, I wonder what there asses look like or if they even whipe most of it or just once.
