Trespasser ordered to stay away from Councilman Garcetti’s Silver Lake home

A  man who has illegally entered Councilman Eric Garcetti’s Silver Lake home twice in the past year must stay at least 100 yards away from Garcetti and his family, according to a  temporary restraining order issued today. The L.A. Times and City News Service are reporting  that 37-year-old James Pagano Jr. entered the Garcetti home last March and again last week.  The councilman’s wife, Amy Wakeland, was at home in both cases and requested the restraining order. Wakeland, according to the Associated Press, said she believed Pagano was unstable and a possible drug user.

Deputy City Atty. William Carter told the Times that Pagano is scheduled to be released from jail on Monday.

Garcetti, who is termed out as councilman and is running for mayor, and his family moved to Silver Lake from Elysian Heights early last year.
