Save the Date: Weekend Edition

Audubon Center at Debs Park will host a workshop on how to attract birds to your garden. Photo from U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service

Get a jump start on weekend diversions by attending a free performance tonight of the acclaimed Marian Anderson String Quartet, which will perform chamber works by American, Latin American, and European composer at Occidental College.  Saturday’s events include an Echo Park community clean up, an Audubon Center workshop on how to turn your backyard or balcony into a garden spot for birds and a “California Women Win the Vote!” film screening at Heritage Square Museum. On Sunday, the organizers of the Sunset Triangle Plaza – you may know it as Polka Dot Place – will hold a grand opening celebration of the street turned pedestrian plaza. More details and more to do in Save the Date.
