Victorian Rain Gear

Let’s hope the blue tarp kept Sunday’s heavy rains out of this Lincoln Heights Victorian on Sichel Street. The storm made many of us aware of leaks – new and old – that had been overlooked during our relatively dry rainy season.

  1. Unfortunately, the attic of the home burned down the last day roofers were completing their work on installing a new roof on the home of our dear friends.

The result was holes to vent smoke the day of the fire. This is how the insurance company is protecting the home from any rain soaking in to the exposed portions of the home.

Though I’m happy to say, according to our dear friends who own the home, the fire department did an amazing job at salvaging a lot of their belongings. In addition to fighting the fire, they moved a lot of the belongings to the back of the home, and covered them with a tarp. Amazing.
