  • Don’t have time to explore the Eastside food and drink scene?  Then stop by this Sunday’s Taste of the Eastside at Barnsdall Art Park to sample the food and drink from more than 30 restaurants, wine stores, breweries and food shops.
  • Highland Park’s newest bookshop is open for browsing. Co-owner Sarah Balcomb spent months soliciting book donations and searching through private collections to fill the Pop-Hop Book Shop, which opened to the public this week on York Boulevard, reports Patch.
  • The Park restaurant in Echo Park has not only started to open on Mondays but has also started serving sushi on what it calls Sushi Mondays. The sushi menu includes fried calamari rolls.
