Clifford Street Elementary will hold its first-ever Jog-A-Thon on Friday, June 1 to raise funds for a school garden and materials to encourage healthy eating and physical activity among the students at the Echo Park school.  The event, sponsored by the school’s parent teacher organization, is  designed to encourage “students to make healthy food choices and increase physical activity” and counter threatened budget cuts to the school’s physical education program, according to the school support group.  Click here for more details.
