Silver Lake murder victim identified

The body of  a man dumped on a Silver Lake street earlier this week had been identified by police as 28-year-old Julio Alvarado. Police are still searching for a suspect and have not figured out a motive for Alvarado’s killing.   The man’s body was discovered  on Tuesday night in the 2200 block of Allesandro Way by two officers on patrol.   Alvarado, who had suffered a single gunshot wound, was declared dead at the scene.

Police are asking for the public’s help. Anyone with information about the incident are asked to call  Northeast LAPD Homicide Detective DiCroce or Officer Aguilar at (323) 344-5744 during normal business hours.  After hour calls should be directed to the Northeast Watch Commander at (323) 344-5701.
