Swanky Silver Lake chicken coop awaits tenants

If chickens appreciate mid-century style, they will love the sleek lines and angular shape of the newly built chicken coop at the Micheltorena School & Community Garden in Silver Lake. Kelly Erickson of Echo Park Now snapped the above photo this morning shortly before the first chickens were to arrive at their new Sunset Boulevard home.   “It’s got to be the fanciest chicken coop I’ve ever seen,” said Erickson. “I know they will be very happy there.”
