Some Echo Park residents spent part of Monday cleaning up after a tagger left his mark on the walls, gates and even a palm tree near the corner of Laveta Terrace and Scott Avenue. But at least one person did more than just clean up the blue spray paint; they called police. As a result, an adult male and member of the Echo Park gang was apprehended by police in possession of a can of spray paint, said Lt. Stacy Spell with the LAPD Northeast Division. While the suspect was quickly arrested, some of those gang tags had still not been painted out as of this morning.
