Eastside Shopper & Diner Report

  • Holy Grounds Coffee & Tea has created an oasis of coffee of and culture on the eastern edge of El Sereno, reports Alhambra Source. Not only is there coffee, but there are also yoga and art classes as well as a patio (pictured above) and outdoor fireplace.
  • I Will Trade You A Zombie Mask for A Vampire Cape:  This Saturday’s Silver Lake Art Craft & Vintage market will feature a “pop up costume exchange” that will include masks, vintage clothes and decorations for trade.
  • Who says a 90-year-old can’t learn new tricks? The Tam O’ Shanter in Atwater Village this month is introducing “modern pub fare” – including items like  Scotch Rarebit Poutine of Beef Fat Fries and Smoked Bacon and Jidori Chicken Sticky Pops – as part of its Ale & Sandwich Bar Night.  The bar will also now remain open until midnight seven days a week.
