Lost: Echo Park kitten

Submitted by E. Ater

I was rescuing a kitten born to a feral female cat. I had successfully trapped him and he was hanging out in a carrier outside of my house until he could be treated for fleas. Well, the little guy managed to escape. I am very worried for him because he is only about 9 weeks old and not used to people. He escaped from Donaldson Street in Echo Park on Tuesday October 9th and I can’t imagine he’s gone very far. If anyone finds him, they will have a hard time getting him. Please call Erica at 484-680-9119. Attached is a picture. He has dark fur with tiger patterning.

  1. I have a two 4-5 week old calico kittens that need a home if you wanna adopt. Same situation semi feral momma cat. I already rescued a kitten this year, can’t have any more. Otherwise they’ll have a very short life, probably take’m to the pound. I’m by Fix cafe if your interested.

  2. Erica,
You should set the trap again in the very early morning ONLY & when you can watch & listen. Ferals, or we like to call them ‘City Kitties’ need to be dealt with immediately after trapping. At 9 weeks you’ll need to socialize them quickly so they become adoptable.
CRITICAL- the mother MUST be trapped & spayed. Email us if you need a reference for discount/free spaying or further trapping instructions.

  3. I’ve already TNRed mom. Just need to get this last little guy and get him socialized then adopted. Thanks everyone!

  4. We got him! Thanks Eastsider!
