It’s been a tough week at Glenfeliz Elementary .  Many students and staff at the Atwater Village school were stunned earlier this week when they were informed that a well-liked instructor involved in an after-school enrichment program had been murdered, allegedly by her husband.  On Wednesday, the second blow came after an attorney and the mother of a student alleged that her son had been molested at the school by a male teacher’s aide, according to KTLA.

In its report, KTLA said:

The boy first told his teacher about the sexual assault in 2008 and the incident was reported to the Los Angeles Police Department. The police came to the school and took the boy to the police station, but there was no arrest of the teacher’s aide and the boy’s mother says she was not informed of the incident.

The mother said she became aware of the alleged molestation only after her son began speaking about the incident during a nightmare. The school reportedly sent out a notice to parents on Wednesday said a school employee had been removed from campus pending the outcome of an investigation.
