Found: Friendly but badly injured Echo Park cat

Submitted by M. Cassidy

We found this cat on Sunday in our backyard near Scott Avenue and Sargent Place. He was badly injured but incredibly clean and friendly. Not a stray. We know someone must be looking for him. What a sweetie. Email me at mcassidy22@gmail.com

  1. Has the cat been taken to a vet? Please let me know if help is needed to keep the cat comfortable.

    • We took the cat to the North Central LA City Shelter for treatment and to assess if it was chipped in the hopes that the owner would find him. It did not have a micro chip. His leg was bitten and infected, no broken bones. The cat is receiving anti biotics, but no one has claimed him. On Friday 2/8 the cat can be adopted. We claimed “first rights” because we did not want the cat to be euthanized, but we cannot keep the cat. If anyone can step forward it will greatly be appreciated. Thank you.
