Restaurants under wraps

The former Larkin’s  restaurant in Eagle Rock (top photo) and Delilah Bakery (bottom) in Echo Park have been covered up in recent days by fumigation tents as both eateries prepare for new owners.  Little Beast, which will be serving up “‘progressive American comfort food,” is moving into the former Colorado Boulevard bungalow once occupied by Larkin’s, according to Patch. Meanwhile, the small cinderblock-building that once housed Delilah Bakery, which closed last fall, has been leased to new tenants but still no word on who it is.

  1. Here’s some info about the lease from le Internet. I hope it’s another sweet little cafe that goes in there… more breakfast options would be great right around here. http://www.echoparknow.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/real_Estate_spec_sheet.pdf

    • Thank you for the link, neighbor. We will impatiently await an update about the new tenants for Delilah’s!

      • That’s not “info about the lease”, that’s the hype-sheet put out by the former tenant as they tried to find someone to buy their business last year.

  2. Are they bug-spraying or are they in stealth mode? The world will never know.

  3. They need to throw that exterminator bag over The Brite Spot. Bugs in my rice…I will never forget.

    • i once had a roach fall on me at the brite spot. i shrieked like a little girl and scared all of the diners that were there. to be fair, that was a few owners ago and the place seems MUCH cleaner now than it was 2 years ago.
