A fire that broke out in an attic of an Echo Park home early this morning left two people, including a firefighter, injured, reports the Los Angeles Fire Department.  One of the residents was injured when he jumped from a window, according to Patch.  The firefighter’s injuries were described as minor. 1. THE DRUNK TANK!! SO MANY GOOD MEMORIES OF SHOWS AND FUN NIGHTS AND DODGEBALL TOURNAMENTS THERE. SO SAD TO HEAR THIS!!!!

  2. Anyone know how bad the damage is? This place was pretty disgusting but I had several friends who’ve lived there over the years. I only went there once & that was enough for me! What a dump!

  3. Here’s what the house looks like the morning after: instagram.com/p/YfyKHIvRMV/

  4. Here’s a documentary about the house, it’s “punk rock” tenants and the neighbors surrounding them.

    It’s called Punk Wall

    • haha. my favorite part was where the 30 year old guy was talking about how the house “is a place where teenagers can come do the things that teenagers wanna do, but their parents won’t let them do at home.” classic.

  5. I’m not sure, but it appeared to me that the punks moved out recently – can anybody confirm that?

  6. Good opportunity to do a looser enema on the property.

  7. What a waste. The current tenants were scheduled to move out on May 1st and the new owner was planning to restore the house and move in. Unfortunately the house will have to be torn down now. It’s a shame. It had the potential to be a beautiful home.

WHAT A FUKN SHAME THAT THE DRUNK TANK LOST ITS HEART&SOUL OF BEING A TRUE PUNK HOUSE, WHICH IT WAS IN ITS EARLY DAYS, BEFORE ASHELY THE “POSTCARD PUNK” THUNDER CUNT, RAN THE HOUSE TO SHIT. IT WAS LAME THAT SHE BANNED EVERYONE FROM THE PAD AND MADE UP HER OWN LAW BECAUSE SHE WASNT ABLE TO CONTROL PUNK ROCKERS AND DRUNKS (WHICH THEY ARE USUALLY AGAINST AUTHORITY AND RULES) SHE CLAIMED THEY WHERE CHILDREN AND SHE DIDNT WANA DEAL WITH IT ANYMORE. I DOUBT THE TANK WOULD HAVE ENDED UP THIS WAY IF BONER HAD LEFT A REAL PUNK RUNNING THE HOUSE, INSTEAD OF THUNDER CUNT RUNNING IT TO SHIT & EVENTUALLY PEOPLE STOPPED HANGING OUT AND RUMOUR HAD IT THAT THE TANK GOT BORING AND TRAVELING PUNKS GOT THE WORD THAT THE HOUSE GOT LAME AND YOU WHERE MOST LIKELY GOING TO GET BANNED AND THROWN OUT OF THE DRUNK TANK FOR GETTING TOO DRUNK, HOW FUCKN STUPID! ….”TRASHELY” EVEN BANNED GUYS FROM THE HOUSE WHEN THEY DIDNT WANA FUCK HER ANYMORE (PROBIBLY CAUSE THEY ENDED UP EMBARASSED & REALIZED EVERYONE MADE FUN OF THEM FOR MESSING AROUND WITH A MANGIANT SLUT THAT HAS A BODY LIKE A FOOTBALL PLAYER) EVENTHOUGH THE END OF THE TANK WAS LAME THERE WERE STILL MANY GOOD MEMORIES THERE THAT I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER.

  9. My daughter use to hang out there in her early teens. I remember her telling me about the Dodge ball games.
