“Unmoderated” show returns for encore performance

The Hollywood Fringe Festival has recognized “Unmoderated: A Reading of Eastsider Comments” with a “Best of Fringe” honor, which means the show based on our comment section returns for an encore performance  on Saturday, July 27 at  Theatre Asylum in Hollywood. Click here to purchase your tickets online.

Unmoderated was one of 200 performing arts productions that were staged last month during the  Hollywood Fringe Festival.  Drawing upon  the comments left by blog readers, a group of actors brought The Eastsider comments section to life in a staged reading featuring tales of gentrification, abandoned sofas, homicide and hipsters.

Blogger Tracey Paleo, who posted a review of the show, summed  the show up this way:

To note, this is a staged reading.  There is no dramatic movement choreography, no costumes, no sound effects, no music.  It is serious stage dramedy truly at its best presented by 8 tremendously gifted actors who, through merely character voice changes, bring to life entire neighborhoods along with their varied collective and individual opinions about the one thing we all find hardest to deal with in city life, change.
