Suspect John Everett Perry

Police have arrested  a man who allegedly sexually assaulted two boys in separate incidents in Atwater Village and Los Feliz last week after luring his victims into his vehicle and a bathroom.

34-year-old John Everett Perry was arrested in Palm Springs in connection with the two assaults, which took place 45 minutes apart on Tuesday, Sept. 24. The LAPD provided some details of the two incidents:

On Tuesday, September 24, 2013, around 7:30 a.m., 34-year-old John Everett Perry approached a 15-year-old male in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles and asked him if he was interested in modeling. When the victim expressed an interest, Perry lured him into his vehicle, where he sexually assaulted him. The victim reported the incident to police.

Approximately 45 minutes later, Perry was sited inside a Starbucks located in the 2900 block of Los Feliz Boulevard, where he approached a second male victim. In this incident Perry represented himself as a fashion photographer and lured the victim to a nearby bathroom, where he sexually assaulted him.

The LAPD is seeking the public’s help in finding potentially more victims. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact detectives Michelle Gomez or Brenda Salazar at the LAPD Northeast Division at (323) 344-5742.
