Police capture man in connection with Highland Park car crash

Police captured a motorist in Highland Park tonight after he collided with several vehicles.

The man tried to run away following the incident that ended on Monte Vista Street but was eventually arrested, according to Sgt. Wayne Guillary with the LAPD Northeast Division. Guillary said there had been no shooting but he had no further details of what lead up to the crash. It’s not clear if the driver was injured.

A photo posted on the Highland Park Twitter feed shows the aftermath of the crash in front of All Saints Episcopal Church on Monte Vista near Avenue 56.
