Lost in Silver Lake: Our sweet 2-year-old Cat Batman [updated}

animal buttonOur awesome sweet cat, Batman, escaped from our house yesterday afternoon Friday the 30th, sometime between 4pm and 6pm. He is a long-haired, black cat, WITH A CROPPED LEFT EAR (he was a stray and someone fixed him and cropped the ear previous to our adopting him.) very sweet, but extremely timid and will probably hide from a stranger. He was last seen in the area Top of North Dillon street and near the intersection of Dillon and North Vendome up the hill from the music box steps. We are distraught and have been up all night looking for him, and are extremely concerned because he is a hider (he likes to hid under things and he’s black so our overnight search was a bit tough)

As you pet owners know he’s considered our family and we are beyond upset at this point. Thank you all very much for you kind consideration. Do not hesitate to call us any time.

  1. Sorry to hear about your cat. We also have a black long hair cat named Django (he looks a lot like yours). He refuses to wear a collar and whenever he escapes I always shake food and carry an open can of wet food around for smell. I’ll walk around making the food noises, banging a fork on the metal can. If I don’t see him right away, I’ll give it ten minutes and go back out to quietly look around. Usually after a few times of doing this rotation I’ll spot him in the neighbors yard. Sometimes you just gotta wait until they get hungry. Also, the flash light at night can illuminate the eyes. Good luck.

  2. I’ve seen your fliers around the neighborhood. I’m keeping my eyes open. I hope you are reunited soon.

  3. Thanks for the kind words guys. I have to say this neighborhood really pulls together for people and pets in need. We really appreciate all your help!
    Thanks again, and well keep looking!

  4. We will keep an eye out for the little guy!

    • WE FOUND HIM!!!! The little brat! Thank you all for your kind words and help. This community rocks and everyone has been so awesome. This little guy is getting a bath and getting chipped tomorrow morning!
