News & Notes:

  • Police said they are looking for two men with shaved heads who were seen fleeing the scene of the fatal Memorial Day shooting of 23-year-old Irving Serrano, who was killed inside a Lincoln Heights business in the 3600 block of Pasadena Avenue. Police ask that anyone who has information about the suspects, who were last seen driving away in a white or grey four-door vehicle, to call Northeast Division Homicide Detectives Governo and Aguilar at 323-344-5744.
  • A  Lincoln Heights auto mechanic  claims he’s being harassed by city officials for refusing to sell his property for a traffic improvement project near Mission Road and Huntington Drive, reports La Opinion (story in Spanish).
