ANGELENO HEIGHTS — A resident wants to warn neighbors that there has been a recent increase in mail theft on East Edgeware Road:

A resident saw a man described as heavy-set and Latino with a shaved head taking a package from a neighbor’s mailbox and opening it on the sidewalk in broad daylight (The photo is of the remnants he left behind). Days later, the mail of at least 4 adjacent residences was missing. This crime has been reported to USPS and LAPD.

Angeleno Heights residents asked to report any mail-related thefts.

I been a long time resident of the Angeleno Heights area….I believe we need more police enforcement …..there is too many strangers wondering within our communities…strangers ,they are worse than coyotes….WORD!

  2. Lots of strange things happening with USPS in Angelino Heights. First off, my mail carrier was stealing sodas from my front porch (yes, we caught her red-handed and yes, we reported it). Secondly, the mailbox on the corner of Douglas and Kellam had a sticky residue on it; mail was getting caught and not dropping safely in the box. Keep an eye out people!!

  3. my mail was recently stolen and doe piece of shit used my credit card for a bus pass and some other worthless crap. Stealing mail is just low class man. Thats like some 1st grade shenanigans.
