Morning Report: Atwater teen remains in coma after hit-and-run; Chavez Ravine photographer Don Normark dies; LAPD seeks help in finding El Sereno suspects

News & Notes:

  • An 18-year-old Atwater Village youth remains in a coma after being struck by a hit-and-run driver last month on Fletcher Drive, reports CBS2.  Skyler Streeter had just celebrated his birthday and was two weeks away from graduating from Marshall High when he was struck by a white BMW on May 21.
  • The LAPD is seeking the public’s help to find the suspects who intentionally drove a silver Honda Accord into two men  in the parking lot of the El Sereno  Food 4 For Less Market on Sunday.  The victims were hit following a fight inside the store with another group of men.

  1. Any info you can provide about the documentary screening? Sad to hear about Normark’s passing, his photos of the families that fought to stay in Chavez Ravine are outstanding.
