Morning Report: How Echo Park Lake and Silver Lake Reservoir rate with hipsters; a greener Northeast L.A.

News & Notes:

  • What do hipsters prefer? Echo Park Lake or the Silver Lake Reservoir?  The L.A. Weekly has the answer.
  • Crews have begun work on planting more than 200 street trees across Northeast L.A., reports the Boulevard Sentinel. The LA Conservation Corps began cutting tree wells on the sidewalks along Colorado Boulevard in Eagle Rock as part of the process.
